Software Quality Assurance

This is a remote position for one of our partners in the USA.

Description:

• The Software QA will be responsible for testing and overseeing quality assurance for software product releases and assessing software errors or bugs.
• The QA will also be responsible for developing and implementing test plans, conducting tests, and interacting with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve potential issues before production.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with other developers to test features and bug fixes before they are deployed to a staging or production environment.
• Work with the development team to plan iterations and sprints.
• Manually test new features or bug fixes to verify that all the specifications have been met; test for different scenarios and errors or empty states.
• Provide clear feedback to developers on items that need to be adjusted.
• Write automated tests for testing core functionality of applications; assist DevOps to eventually incorporate these tests into a CI/CD pipeline.
  

Requirements:

• Strong communication skills: proactively provide updates on progress and roadblocks
• Ability to work in a team environment with other developers.
• A strong desire to always learn and improve development skills
• Some experience with PHP (Laravel framework) and JavaScript (Vanilla, React, or other frameworks)
• Experience with automated testing tools such as PHPUnit, Cypress, Testing Library, etc
• A passion for problem-solving, creativity, thinking outside the box, and finding bugs or errors that no one would ever think about
• Maintains a healthy GitHub repository
• English level: Advanced.
